Holiday Farm near Gubbio

The holiday farm is situated at 620m a.s.l. in a quiet position 12 kms south of Gubbio, surrounded by a typical Umbrian hilly landscape. Close by (100m.) is the 12th century abbey, where once St.Francis had a short stay. The holiday farm consists of three recently restored farm houses, each with comfortable apartments all equipped with a kitchen, bathroom and colour TV. Most rooms are facing the wide valleys and gentle hills so typical for this region.

A wooden gazebo with oven and barbecue is situated in a quiet and pleasant area of the garden near the farmhouse. It is an ideal spot to enjoy barbecue meals and oven-baked pizza.

A large swimming-pool from which you have a unique view over the surrounding landscape is an excellent place to meet the other guests.

Various sport resources are available for the delight of the tourists during their stay: childrens playground, swimming-pool, volley ball, table-tennis. In the immediate neighbourhoods of Poggio Paradiso you can find horse riding, tennis, fishing.

In the surroundings you can make excellent walks. The holiday farm is situated close to the St.Francis walking trail: sentiero della Pace (Peace trail), which connects Gubbio with Assisi.

The holiday farm has a lot of fruit trees, from which the owners make delicious marmelade. Other products from the holiday farm are honey, olive oil and cheese. Friends of the holiday farm are horses,chickens, dogs, cats and they have a donkey.

On request also short stays are possible. In the price is included bed, kitchen and bath linen, water/gas/electricity and use of swimming pool.
