Hiking and olive oil tasting

From the olive tree to the bruschetta with olive oil! A walk through olive groves with an olive oil tasting / lunch in the oil mill will perfectly combine nature and taste, which the Umbria region can offer at its best!

The walk is easy and suitable for everyone, even for families with children (over 6 years old). A tour overall planned to learn about olive cultivation and create awareness rather than focusing only on walking.

An expert environmental guide will walk with you. He will explain the history of the territory and how is produced a tasty superior Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You will learn to recognize the different varieties of olive trees that grow in this area, to understand how to prune them and what are the operations to be done in the olive grove during the year as well as many other curiosities related to the world of olive oil. You will be surrounded in every season by unique and beautiful views, immersed in the scents and colors of the countryside, waiting to taste the authentic flavors of this land.

The walk will take place in the surroundings of an olive oil mill near the hamlet of Pozzo, in Umbria, in an extraordinary area surrounded by woods and olive groves. The family-run olive oil mill produces excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil with the most modern sustainable agriculture techniques, respecting centuries-old traditions in an area that has always been perfect for olive growing. After a beautiful, relaxing walk surrounded by nature, you will return to the starting point.

Price includes:

• 2,5-3 hours walking tour with authorized environmental guide
• Visit the olive oil mill
• Tasting of 3 different types of Extra Virgin Olive oil blended and mono cultivar served on the traditional bruschetta together with a cutting board with typical Umbrian products or Welcome entrèe with EVO DOP Umbria Colli Martani olive oil / Organic mixed legumes soup with grilled bread and EVO DOP Umbria Colli Martani Moraiolo olive oil / “Torta al Testo” stuffed with a mix of vegetables and sausages with Extra Virgin Olive oil / Typical Umbrian dessert.

  !! In the summer season, the soup will normally be replaced by hand-made pasta Strangozzi alla Spoletina and the stuffed “Torta al Testo” will be replaced by Caprese with DOP Umbria Colli Martani organic oil.

• Service is available from Monday to Sunday.

• Transfer to and from the point of departure of the tour.
