You will learn to recognize the different varieties of olive trees that grow in this area, to understand how to prune them and what are the operations to be done in the olive grove during the year as well as many other curiosities related to the world of olive oil. You will be surrounded in every season by unique and beautiful views, immersed in the scents and colors of the countryside, waiting to taste the authentic flavors of this land.
The walk will take place in the surroundings of an olive oil mill near the hamlet of Pozzo, in Umbria, in an extraordinary area surrounded by woods and olive groves. The family-run olive oil mill produces excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil with the most modern sustainable agriculture techniques, respecting centuries-old traditions in an area that has always been perfect for olive growing. After a beautiful, relaxing walk surrounded by nature, you will return to the starting point.
Price includes:
- 2,5-3 hours walking tour with authorized environmental guide and explanation of the olive cultivation
- Visit the olive oil mill
- Tasting of 3 different types of Extra Virgin Olive oil blended and mono cultivar served on the traditional bruschetta together with a cutting board with typical Umbrian products
- or a light lunch with together with a cutting board with typical Umbrian products, Lentil soup (winter) or Farro salad (summer), tozzetti and Vin santo
