the 4-day / 3-nights tour

Day 1 | Arrival at your country house near Trevi

Your Umbrian holiday begins in the heart of the Valle Umbra, a fertile valley surrounded by the hilltop towns of Trevi, Foligno and Montefalco. After your arrival, you settle into your welcoming accommodation and enjoy your first evening immersed in the flavours of the region. A delicious Umbrian dinner awaits you, featuring local delicacies such as extra-virgin olive oil, truffles, handmade pasta and fine wines—an authentic introduction to the culinary traditions that make this valley so special.

Day 2 | Enjoyable shopping, cookery course and discovering the surroundings of Trevi.

In the morning, your culinary adventure begins with a guided shopping experience in the local markets and traditional food shops of the Valle Umbra. Here you will learn everything about the authentic Umbrian food culture: how artisan salami and prosciutto are made, how to choose the best cuts of meat, and how local cheeses—from fresh ricotta to aged pecorino—are produced. Your guide will explain how to recognize quality ingredients, what to look for when selecting seasonal vegetables, and how to source genuine products that reflect the traditions of rural Umbria.

After the shopping tour, you return to the kitchen for an engaging and hands-on Italian cooking lesson. Step-by-step, you will prepare a complete Umbrian meal using the fresh ingredients you selected earlier. Under expert guidance, you will learn the secrets of traditional recipes—homemade pasta, fragrant sauces, savoury meat dishes, and regional specialties rich in flavour. The lesson concludes with a delicious lunch, during which you can relax and enjoy the dishes you created, paired with local wines and the warm hospitality of the house.

In the afternoon, you have free time to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. You may choose to visit Trevi, a charming hilltop town known as the “capital of olive oil,” where narrow medieval streets overlook endless olive groves. Alternatively, you can head to Bevagna, a beautifully preserved town of Roman origin with a medieval atmosphere, famous for its ancient squares, traditional crafts, and quiet, timeless charm. Whether you decide to wander through historic streets, enjoy a gelato in a sunlit piazza, or simply relax in the peaceful Umbrian countryside, the afternoon offers the perfect opportunity to soak up the region’s unique beauty.

Day 3 | Spello, Assisi and a wine-tasting.

After breakfast, you can relax in the saltwater pool but also go for a visit to Spello and Assisi.

Spello is proudly built on the slopes of Mount Subasio. The town has well preserved its medieval character and in the old centre you will find a maze of alleys, cheerful tinted by the plants in flower boxes. The main sights are in the centre: the S. Maria Maggiore church with the colorful fresco cycle by Pinturicchio and two works by Perugino, the S. Andrea church, the city museum, the Roman mosaics and Roman city gate Porta Consolare and Porta Venere.

Assisi is a town where history, traditions, and art are fused together in harmony. You can enjoy wandering through the alleys, stepped streets and crossing the squares with many terraces, inviting you to enjoy a delicious Italian ‘gelato’ or drink a hot cappuccino. There is much to see such as the basilicas of St. Francis and St. Clair, the castle, many museums and the forum romanum. You get a description of a cultural walking tour that takes you along the most important monuments of the town.

At the end of the afternoon, you are expected in a winery in the Assisi DOC wine area. The family is producing with passion for their wines and extra vergine olive oil.
