Experience the authentic flavours of Umbria with this short eno-gastronomic holiday in the Valle Umbra, a fertile valley rich in waterways, vineyards, and centuries-old olive groves. Surrounded by rolling green hills, the Valle Umbra is home to some of the region’s most captivating medieval towns, including Assisi, Montefalco, Bevagna, and Spello, as well as the lively capital Perugia and the historic city of Spoleto, nestled at the foot of Mount Monteluco.
You will stay in a charming eco-accommodation along the Clitunno River, beautifully located between Trevi, Bevagna, and Montefalco. The on-site fine-dining restaurant features genuine Umbrian ingredients, including truffles, mushrooms, veal, and extra-virgin olive oil, creating refined dishes rooted in regional tradition.
A highlight of your stay is a hands-on Italian cooking class. Before the lesson, you will go grocery shopping with Isa, who will guide you in selecting the freshest, seasonal ingredients and choosing the right products to prepare an authentic Italian meal.
The next day, you will explore Assisi with a carefully prepared walking route that guides you past the town’s most iconic monuments. And no holiday in Umbria would be complete without tasting its exceptional wines. On your way back to the country house, you will visit a winery in the Assisi Doc area, where the friendly owners explain the winemaking process and invite you to taste their delicious wines.
Discover the beauty, flavours, and traditions of Umbria with this unforgettable eno-gastronomic escape.
